Annual Freshman Academic Scholarships for Non-Residents
Automatically awarded upon MSU admission based on 9th-11th grade high school GPA and test scores. Mississippi State accepts
the SAT/ACT through the February test date of a student's senior year of high school.

Requires a minimum 3.45 GPA.
Students who qualify for and are approved for the Non-Resident Military Tuition Waiver (NRMTW) will receive a scholarship waiver for
the non-resident portion of their tuition (currently valued at $16,765) in place of the Non-Resident Scholarship, if the Non-Resident
Scholarship is less than the value of the NRMTW.
Students who are approved for the NRMTW will receive the amounts listed in the maroon boxes above. These amounts include the
NRMTW. If NR tuition increases after the first year, the waiver award will increase proportionally.
*Requires a 4.1 GPA and a 34+ ACT/SAT equivalent.
**Students with a 34+ ACT/SAT equivalent score will receive a scholarship valued at the cost of their portion of a double occupancy room.

ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Other academic, performance, leadership & service, departmental, private, and highly competitive scholarships are available. Some may be
stacked with academic scholarships. To be considered for additional scholarships, submit the General Scholarship Application beginning
October 2, 2023, at my.msstate.edu. The priority date for maximum consideration is December 1, 2023.
